Mammillaria gracilis fragilis, Thimble cactus in ceramic pot.
Selling for less than the cost of the pot. This is a mature Thimble cactus. Can be separated into individual plants.
Cream/yellow decorative pot 6 x 8 inches. This is a Mammillaria gracilis fragilis, commonly known as the Thimble Cactus. It is a charming, petite succulent known for its distinct appearance and ease of care.
Key Characteristics
Structure: It grows in dense, rounded clusters of small, cylindrical offsets (the "thimbles").
Spines: Each stem is covered in a delicate web of white, interlaced spines that give the plant a "frosty" or snowy appearance.
Fragility: As the name fragilis suggests, the small offsets detach very easily if bumped. These fallen pieces can be placed back on soil to grow into entirely new plants.
Flowers: When happy, it can produce small, creamy-yellow or pale pink bell-shaped flowers, typically in the late winter or spring.
Quick Care Tips
Light: It thrives in bright, indirect light or partial sun.
Watering: Like most cacti, it prefers the "soak and dry" method. Only water when the soil is completely dry to prevent root rot.
Environment: It does best in well-draining cactus/succulent soil and a pot with drainage holes.
