For sale is a very scarce enamel badge of the WELLING & DISTRICT MODEL ENGINEERING SOCIETY (WEDMES) in south-east London.

WEDMES was established in 1945 and is located at the Electricity Station site close to Falconwood railway station, London SE9. The society is dedicated to those with an interest in miniature scale models of working steam locomotives, traction engines, powered model boats and stationery engines. WEDMES also has a 5” gauge track that is a quarter mile long and open to the public for train rides from April to October of each year. The society is still active.

Excellent condition. No damage. Pin tight and in working order.
