Original vintage Irish Military Police (An Chór Póilíní Airm) brass cap badge, dating from the 1930s to the 1940s World War II "Emergency" period.

​This is a beautiful, heavy die-struck brass piece featuring the traditional Gaelic script "PÓILÍNÍ AIRM" surrounding the central interlocking "PA" monogram.

​Condition: Excellent vintage condition with crisp, sharp definition to the lettering and central design. Features a lovely natural patina on the reverse.

​Fixings: The two original heavy copper wire fixing lugs are fully intact on the reverse (sweated directly to the flat back, typical of early strikes).

​Note: A standard safety pin/brooch clasp has been neatly added across the back at some point for easy display or civilian wear, but it does not affect the original lugs underneath.

​A genuine piece of early Irish Defence Forces history. Perfect for collectors of Irish militaria or Emergency-era memorabilia.
