Rachel Gilbert Amabel Hand-Beaded Wedding Gown (Fits UK 10)

Authentic Rachel Gilbert "Amabel" wedding gown. This dress features the designer's signature intricate hand-beading, long sleeves, and a flattering column/trumpet silhouette. It has a boat neck, v back, and is floor length with an invisible zip at the back of the gown.

Despite the heavy beadwork, it is not heavy and is incredibly comfortable to wear. It has a subtle stretch that allows you to sit, walk, and dance with ease.

Sizing & Professional Alterations (Please Read):

Original Designer Label Size: UK 14 (Rachel Gilbert Designer Size 4)

Current Fit: Professionally tailored down to fit a standard UK 10 (Rachel Gilbert Designer Size 2).

Alteration Details: The gown was meticulously taken in through the bust, waist, and hips by a specialist bridal seamstress to ensure the beaded pattern remains perfectly seamless.

Length: Hemmed to fit a height of 5"2 / 156 cm wearing 4" / 10 cm heels.

Exact Flat-Lay Measurements (Unstretched):
Bust: 33" / 84 cm
Waist: 26" / 66 cm
Hips: 33" / 84 cm

To give you an idea of the fit, my measurements at the time were:
Bust 35" / 89cm
Waist 28.5" / 72cm
Hips 34" / 86cm

Condition:

Bought second-hand in Covet, Dublin, in 2025.
Status: Excellent, worn for a few hours.

Cleaning: Professionally dry-cleaned immediately after the wedding by Cleaning Angel in Dublin who specialise in wedding dress cleaning. The cost was €145. It has been stored in a breathable garment bag.

Very minor flaws in some loose beading but because of the style it's completely unnoticeable when worn and is in otherwise excellent condition. See the inside label: "Loss of sequins or beads is a normal occurrence and should not be considered a fault."
