Hi, thanks very much for the detailed reply - that definitely clears things up.

It sounds like a lovely violin, and I appreciate you explaining about the Helicore strings and the reason you're selling it.

Before going any further, I just wanted to be upfront about my budget. Because it's a private sale, I can't try the violin beforehand, there's no receipt or warranty, and I'd most likely need it posted to me, I'd be taking a bit of a risk buying it without seeing or playing it in person.

For those reasons, the very best I could offer would be 300euro. I completely understand if that's too low for you, and if so there's no pressure at all to answer the rest of my questions.

If 300 is something you'd consider, would you mind sending me a few more details?
Like a few photos in good daylight of the front, back and sides. A close-up of the bridge, fingerboard and scroll/pegbox. Photo of the bow.
A short video of the violin being played (even just open strings, a scale and a short tune would be great), so I can hear its tone and make sure everything is working as it should.

Also, I see you are based in Mayo, so sounds like postage would be the only option?

Hi, I'm interested in the Karl Höfner H9-V. I noticed you describe it as brand new. Could I ask when and where it was purchased, and whether you have the original receipt/invoice? Also, has the violin actually been played, or is it unused apart from the new Helicore strings?

Do you know the approximate age/year of the violin, and has it ever had any repairs, adjustments or setup work?

Would you be able to confirm that the label/model is H9-V and that the number is H9 V414 Y-020307?

And if you don't mind me asking, what's the reason for selling it if it's unused?
