@cushy
Thank you very much, I really appreciate your advice. That's extremely encouraging to hear.
A mail-order rehair and restoration service is actually very much in line with what I have in mind.
If everything goes to plan, I'm hoping to have the basic workshop up and running by September, at least for rehairs and smaller repairs such as bow tips, while I continue bringing over the rest of my equipment from Spain.
I'll definitely get in touch with Noel Burke. Thank you very much for pointing me in his direction, I really appreciate it.

Aha. Good luck setting up. I hope it all works out for you. You should think about doing a mail order service for bow rehairs and restoration. Theres a big demand for rehairing in Ireland, especially if the bow can be posted. 3 of the violin makers in Dublin have stopped doing bow rehairs so there is an opening and the demand is high.You should give Noel Burke a shout in Carlow. Noel has extensive contacts in the bow making industry worldwide and could probable steer a lot of customers your way. I used to own Crehan Musical Instruments, in Dublin.

@cushy I restored and rehaired it myself. I'm a professional bow maker and restorer trained by Michael J. Taylor in Spain, and I've recently moved to Cork. I'm in the process of bringing my workshop over from Spain and hope to establish a bow restoration workshop here in the near future. If you'd like any more information about the work carried out on the bow, I'd be happy to answer.
