Japanese experimental jazz-rock outfit with this one album release "Mikabe" in 2006.
Z was formed from the ashes of legendary Japanese punk band There Is A Light That Never Goes Out, who enjoyed international acclaim for their 2000 album “IE” (Dim Mak).
The band swiftly set about establishing itself a reputation as one of the underground scene’s most compelling live acts. Support slots with the likes of Keiji Haino, Lungfish, The Evens (Fugazi), The Jesus Lizard and Medications followed. Often augmenting their line-up with additional drummers and guitarists, Z gigs were always intense but never predictable.
In March 2006 the band released this debut album “Mikabe” in Japan to critical acclaim. Its six tracks feature singer and multi-instrumentalist Jun Nemoto delivering an impassioned, caustic take on Japanese society over a cacophony that grooves menacingly. If Pharoah Sanders had jammed with late-period Black Flag it may have sounded like this.

Postage is available on limited conditions:

P&P for LPs Registered will be approximately €13 (Depending on weight). Boxsets or multiple items may be more.

P&P at buyers risk is €6, this is a An Post pre-paid padded envelope. Records will be wrapped in cardboard, etc and sent via normal post. Any loss or damage is completely at buyers risk.

CD’s can be sold separately.
Registered post for CD’s in cases is approximately €8.
P&P (at buyers risk) for a CD is approximately €4.50, or €2:00 without case/tray. Additional CDs may increase cost.
