Ufomammut (Italian pronunciation: [ufomamˈmut]) is an Italian doom metal band formed in 1999 by guitarist Poia, bassist and vocalist Urlo, and drummer Vita. They have released eight studio albums to date, the last three through Neurot Recordings.

This there 6th album is part one of a two part suite (Oro: Opus Alter - 7th album) released 6 months later.

ORO, (1 and 2 ) is divided into ten parts and was released by Neurot Recordings in two separate pieces during 2012: the first chapter, Opus Primum, in April, and the second, Opus Alter, in September.

ORO's two chapters can be considered as a single track, as the last part of Opus Primum is able to flow easily into Opus Alter.

Charting the point between Pink Floyd, Vangelis, and Black Sabbath, Oro sounds like the lost broadcasts of an ancient alien civilisation (one that has a penchant for doom metal, obviously.) Things get more grounded with the churning, planet-sized riffs and death-march drumming of Aureum and Infearnatural – but, in the background, distorted chants, wails and radio interference accompanied by swaths of analogue synths give the whole album a distinct, and unsettling, unearthliness. - The Guardian 4/5

P&P for LPs Registered will be approximately €13 (Depending on weight). Boxsets or multiple items may be more.

P&P at buyers risk is €6, this is a An Post pre-paid padded envelope. Records will be wrapped in cardboard, etc and sent via normal post. Any loss or damage is completely at buyers risk.

Registered post for CD’s in cases is approximately €8.
P&P (at buyers risk) for a CD is approximately €4.50, or €2:00 without case/tray. Additional CDs may increase cost.
