Pope John Paul II in Ireland

Right, here we go, yet again.....

Record, or LP even, double-sided too, of the visit of Pope John Paul II to Ireland in 1979.

This item is extremely rare; he's no longer touring for what I hope is an obvious enough reason........?

The demand for his work though continues unabated so get in fast, this item will, hopefully anyway, shift fast......unless ye irish're all heathens now?

I blame the Protestants myself, always up to no good; or de gayz, or the immergrands or, or, or......

It was on this tour JP (the 2nd) kissed the ground, thus inspiring a lyric in a U2 song albeit in reverse......

Also on his World Tour stop-off here that year he told his "Young People of Ireland, I love you" & many T-Shirts with that slogan were shifred subsequently; not included in this sale though.

But it's also a clip that's in Reeling in the Years.

This was JPs final time in Ireland; the demand for his type of music flat-lined a bit & what with his touring bus, the Pope Mobile, the entoruage, security detail, hangers-on etc. it wasn't financially viable to return here when outlay v income was taken into account.

No idea of a price point for this one; no reasonable offer/s refused but the stupid ones from the "2 Euro for a hostel" merchants will not be entertained.

Will pick a price from our rear-end & run with it but we are open to negotiation
