Led Zeppelin II - Robert Ludwig 'Hot mix'

Note - Robert Ludwig ‘Hot mix’ on side 1 Only

Early German pressings had the Ludwig’hot mix’ on side 1 with an alternative mix on side 2.

‘AT RL’ etched in dead wax run-out on side 1 which signifies this is original Ludwig mix.

Rare to find, especially at this price.

Condition. (As per Goldmine grading spec)

Side 1 ( the side that matters)

The RL mix Sounds great !!
Clean apart from some hairlines.
Plays through really well - no skips, pops, except the end of the side, at the beginning of the fade out at the end of Thank You’ where it sticks.

Side 2.
VG
Visually similiar but unlike S1 there is more audible surface noise prevalent through out.

But the mix on side 2 is really muted & dull anyway, and nobody buys this particular pressing for side2. This is all about the amazing RL mix on side 1, and side 2 is irrelevant.

The original US 1st pressing (& also German) which have the RL mix on both sides now sell for €800 plus in VG/VG+ condition, which is out of reach for most people. This will get you half the RL mix at about 1/10th of the price so it’s a bargain.
