Writing Vintage Lord Elgin Freshly Serviced
Lovely vintage Lord Elgin Aquamaster automatic, with a fantastic 1970s cushion-case design and a very attractive silver crosshair dial.
The watch is powered by the Elgin calibre 963 automatic movement and has recently received a full service, with photos of the movement during the service included. It is running well and ready to wear.
The gold-tone cushion case has plenty of vintage character and presents very nicely on the wrist. The silver dial features applied gold/black hour markers, matching hands, crosshair detailing and a framed date window at 3 o'clock. The domed crystal completes the period look.
The watch is fitted to a brown crocodile-pattern leather strap with a gold-tone buckle, which suits it extremely well.
Condition is very good for its age, with normal signs of vintage use to the case, dial and crystal as shown clearly in the photographs. There are some age-related marks/patina to the dial, but overall it presents extremely well and has loads of vintage charm.
A particularly nice example of the less commonly seen Lord Elgin Aquamaster, and the recent service is a major plus for anyone looking to actually wear and enjoy it.
