For sale is a collectible vintage Soviet “Sputnik” wristwatch, produced by the 1st Moscow Watch Factory (1MChZ / Kirova), USSR, circa late 1950s.

An iconic space-age design inspired by the early space race, featuring the classic Earth globe dial with orbit lines and original Cyrillic markings including “Сделано в СССР” (Made in USSR).

The watch is powered by a manual-wind 16 jewel mechanical movement, recently serviced and in excellent working condition — winds smoothly and runs strong.

Fitted with a genuine vintage Kirova mechanical movement, typical of the early 2408 family used in late 1950s production.

Unique Detail

The central seconds hand has been fitted with a genuine ruby watch jewel, creating a subtle and eye-catching “orbiting satellite” effect that perfectly complements the original Sputnik theme.
