Silver Waltham Pocket Watch - Model 1888 - 1894c

This is an A. W Co Waltham Pocket Watch, with a 16Sz, Model 1888, Grade 20, 15 Jewel (Although this sn is listed as a 7Jewel in the production records book), ¾ plate Movement. The sn is 6454847, has screwed-in jewelling, is Pendant wound & set and was produced in 1894. It is working very well; keeping good time over 24 hours and runs for around 30 hours.

The Dial is 44 mm in Diameter and has a sub-secs dial at 6.00. There are 5 light hairlines, as can be seen in the pics. It needs a glass crystal, which will be fitted

The Silver Case bears the makers mark A.B. (Arthur Bamford), who was the Waltham Manager in the UK. It bears the very low sn55, is 50mm in diameter and has a Birmingham Hallmark for 1894c.
The Case back is etched with a Liver Bird & the inscription "DE Tout Mon Ceur", beneath which are Indistinct initials - Ref : DW -37

This watch comes directly from a Collection,
which was assembled over the past 50 years and is being sold as described and in the condition as shown in the pics.
