Jump hour Les routiers watch
Vintage Lorsa Jump Hour Watch – c.1975
Vintage French jump-hour watch by Lorsa (Annemasse, Haute-Savoie), powered by the Lorsa 238A movement (circa mid-1970s). Features a distinctive jump-hour display with rotating minute disc—very much of its era and visually striking on the wrist. Dial signed “Les Routiers”, referencing the well-known French road-transport and truck-drivers’ association, aimed at professional drivers.
In the 1970s, French watchmaking leaned toward bold, experimental designs and accessible mechanical movements, often prioritising originality and everyday practicality over luxury. This piece is a great example of that spirit: quirky, functional, and unmistakably French.
Watch has been serviced. Does not come with strap as I don't have a 20 mm strap available in a suitable colour. However I think white might make this watch pop so showing here as an example. If you have a strap you want I can fit this and we can organize how that's arranged.
