The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'David Letterman' was released in 2016 in commemoration of Michael Jordan's first appearance on the David Letterman talk show in 1986. The sneakers come in a bright orange colorway with metallic blue accents, inspired by the orange tracksuit Jordan wore on the show. The Retro silhouette also features the initial Air Jordan 1 branding components such as the Nike Air logo on the tongue and a heel without the Jumpman logo.

Inspired by the warm-up suit a young Michael Jordan wore during his appearance on
the Late Show with David Letterman in 1985, where he discussed his first signature
shoe, this Air Jordan 1 features a bright red upper with navy accents. Special “On Air”
graphics are found on the insole.
