Horse box (for sauna conversion?)

Horse box (for sauna conversion?) Horse box (for sauna conversion?) Trailers

Wooden Horse box bought to convert to a mobile sauna but never had the time to do so. Passing on so someone else might do so or make use of in whatever makes sense to them.

Rust and rot throughout, though the rust is not serious on the important parts.

Took wheels off so the tires could be replaced, a I have 8 old tires to choose from so it can roll again.

No brakes, which wasn't an issue when I bought it!

Ask any questions you have and/or arrange to come see it. Cheers.

@Alvy55 sorry I'm not the one to ask to do such a conversion. If you didn't get it by reading the ad I didn't even get around to doing this one!

@akyne Hi again, sorry I couldn't get back to you yesterday as I'd hoped to. The overall dimensions are about 3.5m by 2m. And the enclosed trailer part is about 2.8m by 1.4m.
There is rust all over but most of it seems to be surface level and the more serious corrosion seems to be in non critical parts. That said I don't know enough about this kind of thing to make any claims about it. So your best having a look yourself. Cheers.

@akyne: I remember the internal, rectangular portion was 140cm wide and 200cm long but I'll try get more for you tomorrow and make sure the rust is only on the body as I think it is. Cheers.

@Nevin I don't know when it was bought new. Was told buy the person who sold it to me that it was well under 650kg and don't know what else your asking about. Like I wrote in my description; I bought it to convert into a sauna (as it's a wooden body with the right dimensions to do so) but never go around to it. So it's just functioned as a shed for years and so it's time to let it go to someone else. Cheers.

There are various requirements for registration, roadworthiness, depending on the mass of the trailer and year it was sold: https://www.rsa.ie/road-safety/road-users/professional-drivers/vehicle-safety-legislation/light-trailers/laws-on-using-light-trailers.

I guess you didn?t buy the trailer new. Do you know when it was bought new?

Do you know the total mass of the trailer, or the DGVW.

@Nevin Hi. The wheels seem to move around freely enough alright. I'm not sure what your asking about when you say "liesence" though.
