Marshall Other 1982

Title: 1982 Marshall Tractor - Restoration Project - Solid Engine, Starts First Time!

Price: € 3,000 ONO

Description:
For sale is my 1982 Marshall tractor. It is being sold as a restoration/rebuild project as I have recently bought another tractor and need the space.

This is a genuine vintage tractor with a lot of potential. It has a very strong, sound engine and starts first time on the button. It comes with new front tyres and the tax book (registration certificate) is present.

The Good:

· Engine is sound and runs well.
· Starts first time with a button.
· New front tyres.
· Tax book included (Reg: 82KY598).
· Complete structural base for a restoration.
· Hydraulic lift holds its position perfectly when raised (indicating the internal seals are likely okay).

The Work Needed

· Needs a complete overhaul.
· Brakes require work.
· Clutch requires work.
· Front dash/instrument cluster is missing. The wiring is exposed and will need to be sorted out.
· Hydraulic lift is slow to raise. It holds the load perfectly once up. I suspect this is due to a clogged filter, old oil, a diverter valve issue, or a tired pump, rather than blown seals. However, I haven't investigated it further and have priced it with this unknown in mind.
· Bodywork is rough and will need sanding and painting.

Summary:
This is an ideal winter project for someone who wants a rewarding rebuild. Because the engine is so reliable, the hard mechanical work is mostly done. It just needs someone with the time to sort the cab, wiring, hydraulics, and mechanicals (brakes/clutch) to bring it back to its former glory.
