While the C variant of the Brabham BT46 is the more famous of the family, due to its fan, the B model was a successful machine in its own right. While usually remembered as a Ferrari driver, Nikki Lauda (car #1) spent 1978 driving the wonderful flat-12 Alfa Romeo-powered Brabham BT46. At the Italian GP, Nikki Lauda came in first followed by his teammate John Watson. The 1-2 for Brabham was still an impressive result.
