Vintage style opera glasses, small binoculars, red and gold with chain

Pair of vintage red and gold opera glasses/small binoculars, with a long gold chain.

3X magnification with 25 mm optical lens, perfect for watching the stage at theatre plays, operas, and concerts. Also make a fashionable accessory.

The focus is adjustable by extending the binoculars with the front knob (the 2nd photo shows the extended form). The binoculars are also foldable to a more triangular shape by bending down from the middle (I forgot to take a photo but would be happy to if required). The chain is removable by slipping it off the split ring.

Measures 9.7 cm wide x 6 cm long when fully extended, and 8.5 cm wide x 5.4 cm long when contracted and folded. The chain is approx. 102 cm / 40 inches long.

Bought earlier this year at Vintage Ireland's Antique Fair in Dun Laoghaire for €40, but never got a chance to use them. The lens are clean and clear with no damage or scratches, and all the mechanisms work well. There are some minute scratches to the gold tone plating, and a small white scratch to the red paint on the underside (see last photo).
