Mahogany Dining Table

Mahogany Dining Table Mahogany Dining Table Tables

A beautiful, antique dining table. Solid Mahogany.

It is built in three sections. Each section is three feet long and three feet wide.

The table can be set up with all three sections as a large table measuring 9ft x 3ft. Comfortably seating 10 people.

The smaller set up of two sections is 6ft x 3ft and more suitable for seating 6 - 8 people.

The top part of the middle section can be tilted up to make it smaller for storage.

This was my family's dining table for 50 years and it's a beauty. I've moved to a tiny house which can't fit it sadly.

There are some marks to the surface which you can see in the pictures. They are shallow marks in the varnish from hot serving plates. If they bothered you, you could sand the top and revarnish it. We just used a table cloth.

The table is heavy and incredibly solid. Very fine craftsmanship with brass castors on the legs.

Currently in storage in Gorey and could be delivered if needed at the cost of the fuel.

@Jenny dem The table is in a storage unit at the moment and unfortunately it's not suitable to view it there. You would need to take a chance on it and I fully understand if you're not comfortable with that.

Would it suit you if we went down to Gorey on Saturday, I really don’t want to agree to buying the table without the brackets and to have a quick look, please?

@Jenny dem No probs at all Jen, glad to answer any questions. There are locks to hold the three leaves together. I will have to search for the clips that fit in to hold them. They are around here somewhere! If I can't find them I could make you up 4 clips quite easily. The top of the middle leaf tips up to make storage easier if you're only using two leaves. There are also dowels and holes on the edges of the leaves where they join.

Hello again, sorry about all the questions.
Are there table leaf locks to hold the leaves/ table together?
Many thanks for your patience, Jenny

@Jenny dem Yes, the table has some marks, from hot plates not from water. The discoloration is in the surface varnish, its not through to the wood. They are minor in my opinion and wouldn't bother me. If they bothered you then a sand down and a coat of varnish would be needed. Extremely solid and well built table with those marks being the only notable flaw.

I am just wondering if the table has white/ water marks, and is it ready for use, apologies if this sounds too direct?
