An elegant French neoclassical coffee table base dating from the 1960s–1970s.
Original gilt wrought/cast iron frame
Four sculptural legs in the shape of seahorsses
Striking geometric central stretcher
Dimensions: 115 × 60 × 50 cm (L × D × H)
Unfortunately, the original smoked glass top has been lost over the years. The base remains in good vintage condition with only minor signs of age and use.
It would make a beautiful restoration project. A new smoked glass, stone, marble or wooden top could easily be commissioned to suit your own style.
If anyone happens to have an original tabletop for this model, or a suitable replacement, I would be incredibly grateful to hear from you.
