Chinese coffee table made of black lacquer (chinoiserie type)

A Chinese black lacquer coffee table (chinoiserie style), decorated with bas-reliefs depicting figures in a garden.
The three-dimensional female figures (often interpreted as geishas or ladies-in-waiting) and landscape elements such as trees and rocks are crafted from applied semi-precious stones, soapstone (soapstone), and mother-of-pearl.
The tabletop is covered with a glossy black lacquer with hand-painted, subtle gold details.
A glass top protects the delicate carvings from mechanical damage and dust.
In very good condition.
