19th Century Antique Pine and Elm Small Tavern Table with Rotating Top

Genuine mid-to-late 19th-century antique country tavern / pub table. Measures 50cm diameter by 70cm tall.

This is an authentic period piece featuring a beautiful character-filled top, a thick turned central pedestal, and a classic tripod base. Fascinatingly, it is designed with a rotating top—a traditional feature used in crowded old public houses so patrons could spin the table to pass items easily.

The underside and inside legs display wonderful historic hand-tooling, including original pit-saw marks. It is in solid, sturdy antique condition with a beautiful deep patina and some expected age-related wear/marks from its long history. Completely untouched and unrestored.

Perfect as an authentic statement side table, wine table, or lamp table for a period home or cottage.
