The motors turn just fine.

One is missing a head for the spool. One has a very short power lead requiring an extension cable.

The other one I always put a plastic and sometimes steel cable tie on to edge my lawn but you can probably put a proper strimmer cable onto it too .
The main thing is you can get both to turn so.i found them useful.

I don't know much about these things and because of the issues described I am basically selling them for parts even though you can find a way to get them to trim.
