Old Irish stamps

Some nice early used stamps from the beginning of our State.

​1948–1965 Airmail Issue (8d brown): Features the Angel Victor over St. Iberius Church / Wexford (Aeir-phost S.E.A.).

​1937 Constitution of Ireland (2d purple): Commemorating Bunreacht na hÉireann.

​1922 Provisional Government Overprint (2d orange): King George V definitive stamp overprinted “Rialtas Sealadach na hÉireann 1922”.

​1944 Irish Christian Brothers Centenary (1½d green): Inscribed “Dochum Glóire Dé agus Onóra na hÉireann”
5. 1938 Fr. Theobald Mathew Centenary (2d sepia): Commemorating the 1838 Total Abstinence Movement.
6. 1941 25th Anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising (2½d blue): Depicting an Irish Volunteer outside the GPO reading the Proclamation.
7. 1930 Shannon Hydroelectric Scheme (2d brown-grey): Commemorating the completion of the Ardnacrusha power station.
8. 1948 150th Anniversary of the 1798 Rebellion (2½d purple): Depicting Theobald Wolfe Tone.
