Historical Significance:Foster is a towering figure in British legal history, famously serving as the lead defense counsel for Mary Ann Cotton during her sensational 1873 trial at the Durham Assizes. Cotton was Britain's first and most prolific female serial killer, convicted of poisoning up to 21 family members. Foster made legal history by aggressively advancing the creative "toxic wallpaper" defense, arguing the victims accidentally inhaled flaking arsenic dust from green wall treatments.

Just said I would drop you a short message.
Great to see something like this on here. Love the details and the nice scans. Not something for my own collecting habits and noone in Ireland comes to mind. If it had a link to Ireland I could send to a few collectors I know.
Best of luck with the sale.
Apologies not an offer for you to consider.
Maybe consider Stampa (Irish National Stamp Exhibition) which will be in September.
