The Certina DS PH200M Powermatic 80 C036.407.11.050.01 is a revival of a model from the 1960s. It represents a continuation of timeless watch design combined with the latest technology.

Part of the DS PH200M model series ( PH = "Pression Hydrostatique 200 mètres") , the Certina C036.407.11.050.01 watch features a date display, screw-down crown and screw-down face. The detailed dial is protected by a convex sapphire crystal that is highly scratch-resistant. The watch case is made of brushed, 316L stainless steel. The watch comes on a braided stainless steel bracelet. With a diving lunette made of domed ceramic, this watch further accentuates its diving style. The water resistance of the watch is 200 m, making it suitable for deep-sea diving. The hands, indices and dots on the dial are equipped with a Super-LumiNova® luminescent coating, so you don't have to worry about the dial not being easy to read in poor visibility conditions.

This watch model references the vintage watches of the 1960s and brings timeless design and performance into the present and future. During this period of the 20th century, Certina demonstrated the strength of its watches in a number of important, research projects and expeditions. The experience gained from these projects led the brand to develop new watches adapted to life under the sea. They combine an older, albeit timeless design, with the latest technologies such as the Powematic 80 calibre or the DS concept.

The Swiss-made ETA Powermatic 80.611 movement has 25 stone settings and a maximum power reserve of up to 80 hours. The frequency of the machine is 3 Hz (21,600 semi-frequencies per hour). The flywheel of this movement is made of Nivachron alloy, which is more resistant to magnetic field and temperature changes and results in better accuracy of the watch.

Like all Certina watches, it is equipped with the unique DS technology (Double Security System), which increases the durability, shock resistance and water resistance reliability of the watch (1. reinforced sapphire crystal, 2. seal on the crown shaft, 3. double seal on the crown, 4. special back cap seal, 5. reinforced back cap).
