Rogers Super Ten 5x14 snare and case
I purchased this in London's Drum Shack about 7 years ago based on the richness of the sound. They had replaced the original hoops with Pearl Superhoops.
The tuning range on this is surprisingly wide, and the volume range is very dynamic. It has the usual sensitivity we expect from a Rogers drum and it has real personality, much more than some brass drums I've played by Ludwig and Pearl. Of course it is a steel drum but it reminds me of an old chrome over brass Gretsch I used to own.
Like the rest of my ads I hand picked this from a wide range of instruments, based on the sound alone...for me it stood out even compared to the metal Dynasonics they had in stock
