Premier 2000 Vintage 14 x 5.5 Chrome Over Aluminium Snare Drum 1970s

A British Vintage Classic.

The Premier 2000 Series is a superb example of one of Premier's most distinctive and innovative vintage snare drums. Produced in England during the 1970s, the Model 2000 combines a 14'' x 5'' chrome-over-aluminium shell with Premier's unique Flo-Beam parallel snare mechanism.

Unlike a conventional snare throw-off, the Flo-Beam system raises and lowers the snare assembly while keeping the wires evenly positioned across the resonant head. The result is an unmistakable piece of British drum engineering and a highly responsive vintage snare design. The 2000's parallel-action system and aluminium shell have it a particularly interesting and sought-after model among vintage drum enthusiasts.

This drum retains its classic Premier character, including its distinctive shell in surprisingly great shape for its age, die cast hoops, slotted tension rods and Flo-Beam snare assembly. The underside features the characteristic twin-band ''Double Twelve'' snare configuration associated with the 2000 system. The shell has a proof stamp of date of manufacture reading: 17th October 1973.

• All tension rods greased and fittings checked
• Flo-Beam mechanism inspected and tested
• Snare wires inspected and adjusted
• Fresh Evans G1 coated batter head and Evans Snare Side 300 fitted and tuned
• Final playability and function check completed

Please note: As a vintage drum, minor cosmetic signs of age and use should be expected. There is minimal pitting and chrome damage on this shell. All photographs listed form part of the item's condition description.
