Gretsch 4160 Chrome Over Brass Snare Drum 14 x 5 1970s
This is a legendary Gretsch Model 4160 Chrome Over Brass snare drum. This 14x5 workhorse features the iconic Stop Sign Badge. This model dates from the mid 1970s. Highly regarded as one of the most musical brass snares ever made, known for its warm, dark, and sensitive character.
Includes the original Gretsch Die-Cast hoops, Lightning throw-off, and 20-strand snare wires.
Excellent vintage condition. The chrome shows minor pitting typical for its age but, following some careful reconditioning, remains very reflective and it shines up beautifully.
The Lightning throw-off is fully functional and the internal muffler is intact.
