Antique Pine Farmhouse Dresser

Restoration Project:

Original antique painted pine farmhouse/kitchen dresser, believed to date from the late 19th or early 20th century.
A substantial old piece with lots of character, comprising two glazed upper doors with shelving, two drawers and a large double-door cupboard underneath. Nice moulded cornice and decorative carved detail across the top.
The dresser has been in storage for the last 4 years and came from the old house on our property. It is very solid overall but does require restoration. There is some deterioration/damage to the timber at the bottom rear corner, as shown in the photos, and the old paintwork would need attention depending on the finish required.
The timber appears to be old pine, possibly pitch pine, although I cannot confirm the exact species.
Dimensions approximately:
140 cm wide
220 cm high
42 cm deep at base
23 cm deep at upper section
A lovely original piece for someone looking for a genuine farmhouse dresser to restore rather than a modern reproduction.
Collection only due to size and weight.
