Hey. I am owner of 4 years old male ferret that I raised by myself since he was a kitten. Lately I am not doing well, my life is falling apart - I am expecting to become homeless by the end of May. I am afraid I won't be able to hold him close to me being outside, there is a high probability that he will escape there.

After many months of considering the option of giving him away to a new home I came with decision that I can pass him over to someone who got other ferret/ferrets. Perhaps he will be happier among others of his kind.

He is castrated and vaccinated, also registered - with EU passport. The latest vaccine was done this February. He was raised without a cage with a free access around the house.

For now I'll try to stick with him till the end. Meanwhile will wait if there is someone who can take over him in the worst scenario that can happen here.

Please don't bother asking for adoption if you don't own a ferret. You might not know but they are bonding to their owners and he might get depressed on loss. Not you nor I want that.

Tips when adopting a pet:

  • Confirm the pet is vaccinated & vet checked
  • Meet with the Adverts user before agreeing to the adoption
  • Check the pet is old enough for adoption
  • For more information read our Pet Adoption Rules

That's a hard decision you're making and I hope he finds a home with the kindness you've shown him
