Vintage Soviet Era Baltic Amber Ring, Unusual Hallmark, Statement Piece

Beautiful and unusual vintage amber ring with a large, warm-toned amber cabochon and a distinctive vintage silver-coloured setting.

The ring has a small stamped hallmark/cartouche inside the band, which can be clearly seen in the photos. The marking appears to contain numbers, but I haven't had the hallmark professionally identified or the metal independently tested, so I don't want to make any definite claims about its composition.

The style and amber are very characteristic of vintage Baltic/Soviet-era amber jewellery, making this a particularly interesting piece for collectors of vintage jewellery, Baltic amber or unusual antique-style pieces.

The amber has lovely natural variations and inclusions which give it plenty of character.
