Here is an absolutely stunning piece of Art Deco sterling silver and cut glass ware..Walker and Hall,who operated out of Electro works on Howard Street in Sheffield are the masters of this creation..The cut glass base is appropriately. 25 inches thick with fluted inlaid side panels and a trenched top border to allow for a seamless fit with the lid..The glass in in 100 percent perfect condition..The silver top was assayed in Sheffield in 1930 and is also in amazing condition. It has a domed top,gold gilded interior and a rolled edge..When the two are aligned they create an sophisticated sarchophagus..The piece measures 4x1.75x1.5 inches and the silver lid weighs 36 grams..This is a very special tactile piece that will bring a lifetime of pleasure to it's new custodian.
