Victorian Silver Plated Tea Kettle by Sturges Bladon and Middleton
Stunning late Victorian silver plated hot water kettle circa 1880. Features beautiful hand chased floral and foliage decorations with a blank central cartouche.
Stamped on the base with SB and M pseudo hallmarks for Sturges Bladon and Middleton Birmingham alongside a secondary James Dixon and Sons Sheffield maker mark. Base ring features size stamp number 2 and additional workshop serial numbers 6 4 9.
Shows beautiful authentic bleeding copper on the bottom which confirms its antique age and manufacturing technique. Missing its original warming stand but makes a magnificent decorative display piece or antique collectible.
