Stokes & Ireland Art Deco Sterling Silver Coffee Pot(225 grams)

Stokes & Ireland silversmith's were formed by William Henry Stokes and Arthur George Ireland..They operated out of Great Hampton Street in Birmingham from 1891-1938..This exceptional sterling silver coffee pot was assayed in Chester in 1922..(at a very high point in Art Deco design)..The piece is just short of six inches tall and just under three inches across the midriff..It has an ebonised handle and finial and weighs 225 grams..It is in very clean condition for it's age..very close to perfect..with super clean hallmarks on the body and under the rim..(A fine heat expansion split on the finial and is still super solid)..The final pieces of Chester silver were assayed in 1962/3..that combined with a renowned maked put this piece in the very desirable basket..I will include registered post and very safe packing in the asking price.Thanks for looking please check out my other ads.
