A fine vintage solid silver jewellery box, fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1940, with the maker’s mark of William Neale & Son, a well-regarded Birmingham silversmith.

The box is of circular form with a hinged domed lid, raised on three ball feet. The interior retains its original velvet lining, suitable for jewellery or small keepsakes, while the underside is finished with a leather covering, typical of quality silver boxes of this era.
