Peerage Brass Lizard Post War 1950s 25 cm
Naturalistically modelled with crouching feet and sinuous tail with its head slightly raised and turned to the left and with carefully punched decoration representing the skin.
'Peerage Brass' which is known to have commenced in business before 1900 and made original copper & brass ware, with the height of production between 1910 and the 1940's.
While obviously decorative these animals may well have been intended as desk items or paperweights for the office!
