Mid 19th Century Mother Of Pearl Jet Mourning Pendant (Double Sided Engraving)

Here is a simply stunning mid 19th century mourning pendant..hand carved on what I believe to be Whitby Jet..(light in the hand,warm on the touch and this piece has been carved)..The pendant can be worn on both sides..The detailing on the mother of pearl is just amazing..This has all been hand inlaid..The rear has a gothic feel to it..and again has been very well carved..I have attached a good sized sterling silver bale..and sourced a 26 inch heavy belcher sterling silver chain..both are clearly hallmarked. The pendant minus the bale is 2 inches long and the set weighs 23 grams..This is a lifetime set and I waited until I sourced the right bale and chain before I advertised it..Registered post is available for an additional five euro..I will supply a nice hardcase..Thanks for looking please check out my other ads.
