Mid 19th Century Hawksworth,Eyre & Co Silver Plated Candlesticks
Hawksworth,Eyre & Co were a Sheffield silversmith's..that produced silver and silver plated tableware for the finest tables.They were formed in 1833 and went in to liquidation in 1932.They went ltd in 1872..so these were produced in the 1850's or 60's..Both sticks are in stunning condition..weigh just over 1kg..are 7 inches tall and have a 3.5 inche square base.They have a beaded pattern decoration and the tops are removable for cleaning purposes.I don't believe there is a finer pair available at this price point.
