Indonesia brass bowl circa 1910 free postage
Sectionally cast using the 'lost wax' process, turned and hand worked. The bowl is of circular form, resting upon an integral raised and flaring foot. The mid-point is cast with a raised decorative band. This example is complete with the original cover - the cover is located within the bowl opening by a recessed lip. A shaped handle knop forms a final to the cover.
The surface is finished with chiseled decoration - the decoration incorporates traditional floral elements and motifs.
Weight - 681 grams.
Condition: Very Good. No cracks or dents. No repairs. Minor surface marks etc. (consistent with age and usage). Natural colour and patina.
