Antique Victorian Pewter Tea Pot, 150+ years old
This old pewter teapot is dated between 1856 - 1900 latest. The condition is not good, age related as you'd expect since it is up to 170 years old. There are small signs of the pewter disintegrating and there's one dent. I have not attempted to clean it.
The markings are;
Philip Ashberry & Sons (so after 1856), Sheffield with marks 8 / 309 / EE.
As it is not 'Ltd' I'm putting the latest date at 1900.
It might be of interest to a collector who will be able to clean and care for it properly. Or just someone with an eye for nice things.....!
I've uploaded lots of photographs to demonstrate the condition.
