A beautiful set of antique bronze figures. One is female, one male and they are farm labourers with continental characteristics, likely French or Spanish.

Female is holding a ‘straw’ cap while wiping her brow. The male is holding a scythe while drinking from a water/wine container. The characters are standing on a bronze base with wheat sheafs on top and surrounded on base by farm animals design.
The figures are mounted on marble base.
The artists signature is on each figure H. Weiss,French Sculpture mid 19th century.(1846-1930) ?.
Each figure is 62cm tall and weighs approx 28 lbs.
Can be sold with very attractive matching turned mahogany pedestals (96 cm) for additional €400 if required.
