New listing. Thomas Ellin & Co. Cutlers, Sheffield. 'Vulcan Stainproof'. Eight dinner knives. Length 10"/25.5cm. All except one stamped 'Firth Stainless' on rear. One knife has a nick on cutting edge. Rounded handles in faux bone. No box. Probably 1930s. In good antique order. €50.
Thomas Ellin & Co. was a pioneering 18th-century Sheffield cutlery firm established around 1784 by Thomas Ellin. Known for advanced manufacturing like steam-powered machinery and circular saws, the company produced pocket knives, straight razors, and carving sets before being acquired around 1944.
