19th Century German Silver Teapot(Circa 1820)
Here is a superb German/Austrian silver teapot,that was produced in circa 1820..The piece is highly decorated and would have adorned a very wealthy table.This is a bachelor pot that measures 5.75 inches tall and 6.5 inches wide..The number 13 on the base refers to the Loth system of marking silver in Germany and Austria at the time..it indicates that the piece is 81.5 percent silver.The second mark indicates a regional or maker's mark..It weighs 210 grams..It is in lovely condition..(one small pin is missing on the lower handle..It is still very safe and functional,just has a little lateral movement)..This is an uber rare piece on these shores..I will include registered post in the asking price.
