@doylerdoyler: €55 is the spot price of silver. That's a paper price. Physical silver has to be mined and then goes through a manufacturing process to produce the bars/coins. The difference in price is known as a premium. Premiums can and will rise depending on availability. Then you have your typical taxation on top, (customs, and in Ireland 23% VAT). Try any online bullion store that delivers to Ireland and you won't get a 10oz bar for under €1k IF you can find stock.

No probs, I must say I’m confused about the value though. Just a genuine question: €550 is literally the material value of 10 troy oz of silver at today’s price. Why would someone pay 72% more?
