Vintage Ashford Traditional Spinning Wheel - Fully Serviced & Ready to Spin

Classic Ashford Traditional spinning wheel (Single Treadle / Scotch Tension) manufactured in New Zealand from solid New Zealand Silver Beech wood.

Dating from the late 1970s, this wheel features the desirable graphite-nylon maiden bearings, 8-spoke turned wheel, and classic turned uprights. It has just undergone a careful, sympathetic restoration and is in 100% working condition.

Recent Refurbishment Work:

Wood Treatment: Thoroughly cleaned and nourished using a traditional blend of boiled linseed oil and gum turpentine, preserving the wood while restoring its rich, golden satin finish.

Hardware Cleaned: Metal crank shaft, flyer hooks, and orifice treated to remove light surface rust—now smooth to the touch with a clean vintage patina (no snagging on wool)

Drive System: Brand new cotton drive band fitted and aligned.
