Haha.. I'd love to get rid of a lot of useless tech..

Nah don't throw it out, it's still good as a basic storage device and file server.
I'll give you 25e for it if nobody want it :]

@AdsWaterford bin it :)

Yeah, unless it's a second backup copy on your own hosted server or a more modern hosted FOSS / Blockchain system.
Cloud services are also a big hoax as far as gurgle, microshiite and Imazombie surveillance capitalism goes.

Oh, you meant embedded OS. OK, ye but the Linux based OS is not the problem, the firmware on that is not great for restore options after a failure.

It's a decent standard SOHO NAS but not worth 75e to me, I could only offer around 25e which is probably too little for you.

Let me know if interested otherwise GLWS. Thanks.

@AdsWaterford it it is as original. And preaty much all cloud sync is a bunch of a crap and another point of a failure on data at a some pont.

In other words, running Backups to network/cloud/external drives is fine but a restore is not so easy with Buffalo firmware.

Do you mean some kind of custom FreeNAS OS software is installed on it?

What do you mean by enneded Os ?
All I know is that it is difficult to restore data after a failure without using a PC, compared to a Synogy or QNAP etc.

@AdsWaterford restore options unlimited it has enneded Os, hds are optional from 80€ red each

Hi, are you selling it with 2 x 2TB hd's or as an empty enclosure?
75e is too high for me as it's an older model, no warranty, limited restore features etc.
I don't think you would let it go for what I think it's worth so nevermind.
GLWS Thanks

-OR-
