Early 19th Century Egyptian hardwood carving
Here is a stunning piece of one off hardwood carving. It has been beautifully hand carved from one piece of hardwood (40x12x1.75 inches). It is an Egyptian scene of two ladies dancing, two males playing percussions and a centre male figure collecting funds for their efforts. The quality of carving is purely exceptional..Look at the detail that has been lavished on the faces, head ware and clothing. The outer border is also integral to the original piece of wood. This has dried and aged beautifully over time, leaving a colour that only comes with natural aging. The piece is in very solid condition, with natural shrinkage marks,as the moisture has come out of the wood over time. This stunning piece is at least early nineteenth century or possibly much earlier.I have priced this one off piece within the realms of most people..A lifetime piece.Safe postage available at buyer's cost. Thanks for looking please check out my other ads.
