vintage Persian Bakhtiari accent rug

Selling a beautiful, authentic vintage Persian Bakhtiari accent rug in excellent condition.

This piece is 100% hand-knotted from thick, durable tribal wool on a strong cotton foundation, dating back to the 1970s or 1980s. It features the highly sought-after 12-panel "Khesti" garden design, with each square showing detailed traditional motifs like the cypress tree and birds.

Unusually for rugs of this age, it still has its original handwritten bazaar inventory label and official Iranian customs export tags intact on the back, proving its authenticity. It also features protective leather strips stitched along the under-edges to stop the corners from curling.

The size is approximately 84 cm x 110 cm (33 inches x 43.5 inches) excluding the fringe, making it a perfect size for an entryway, bedside, or a high-end wall hanging.

It has been safely kept in storage, so it just needs a quick hoover to freshen up. Clean, thick, and ready for a new home. Priced at €250.
